Dutch Miller Subaru Boxes Up Food for Veterans - Jason J.

Several of our employees, & some representatives from Subaru of America, stopped by Mountaineer Food Bank to help package boxes of food to be passed out to veterans in our state. Our goal was to box up 400 boxes of food, which we accomplished in about 3 hours. West Virginia has a long history of service men and women who have bravely fought for our country. Despite their sacrifices, many of our veterans have to worry about putting food on the dinner table. Mountaineer Food Bank is dedicated to helping these veterans by providing monthly food boxes. These boxes ensure that veterans are provided with nourishing and nutritious food. There are not any income guidelines required for the Veteran Table boxes, you just simply must be a veteran. Dutch Miller Subaru is proud to have helped out boxing the food, & we all had a great time while we were there.

Dutch Miller Subaru Helps Out the Children's Home Society of West Virginia - Jason J.

At Dutch Miller Subaru we always strive to be involved within our community, but we love it when one of our staff leads the charge. One of our salesmen, Jamie Olah, partnered with the Children's Home Society of West Virginia to fill the Christmas wish list for the Grand Families program & provided extra toys to their holiday children's drive that will ensure children in need will wake up to presents on Christmas morning. The Children's Home Society of West Virginia offers child welfare, behavioral health, social casework, and advocacy services, including foster care and adoption, to 16,000+ children and families from 13 primary locations statewide. Their aim is to help build a future where, ultimately, our services are no longer needed: where every child has a safe and permanent home, a family to love them, and opportunities to thrive. All of us here at Dutch Miller Subaru are proud of Jamie for helping out within our community.

The mission of Make-A-Wish is to grant life-changing wishes for children going through so much. It compels us to be creative in exceeding the expectations of every wish kid. Wishes are more than just a nice thing. And they are far more than gifts, or singular events in time. Wishes impact everyone involved—wish kids, volunteers, donors, sponsors, medical professionals and communities. For wish kids, just the act of making their wish come true can give them the courage to comply with their medical treatments. Parents might finally feel like they can be optimistic. And still others might realize all they have to offer the world through volunteer work or philanthropy.
